"Your intuition knows the way."

 

Growing up in rural Nova Scotia, I spent a lot of time in nature creating stories, poems and music. Words were my form of expression and often found me in moments of stillness. My books are all connected and though not based on any one real person or experience, they are loosely inspired from my family heritage of lighthouse keeping off the southern shore of Nova Scotia, Canada.

 

Writing is a mindful practice for me, I write stories that make the reader feel things, bringing them along on a journey of emotions, ranging from the butterflies of first love to the unspeakable grief that comes from profound loss and everything in between. The characters are loveable yet complex, the kind of people that stay with you after the book is finished, leaving you wanting more.

I draw a lot of inspiration from nature and this is reflected in the richly descriptive settings, from the seaside fishing village of "Wood Point" to the magical "Shag Island", the reader will surely come to love Nova Scotia as much as I do.
